Power monitors

Sept. 1, 1999

Series 300 and 400 power monitors provide spectrally flat response from 1520 to 1620 nm for measurement and control of optical power over the erbium amplifier band. They have less than 0.4-dB sensitivity variation, with 0.2-dB typical, power readout from -50 to +28 dBm and typical battery life of three years. Series 300 has minimum insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB, and Series 400 has minimum loss of 1.3 dB and manual control of attenuation more than 40 dB.
