Williams Network (Tulsa, OK) signed an agreement with Intermedia Communications Inc. (Tampa, FL) that will enable Williams`s network to offer its wholesale frame-relay services more extensively across the United States. Under the agreement, Williams and Intermedia will link their networks through strategically located network-to-network interfaces, each operating at a speed of 45 Mbits/sec. Both networks are using carrier-class frame and ATM switches from Ascend Communications Inc. (Alameda, CA). In addition, Sentient Networks Inc. (Milpitas, CA) and Williams announced a $10-million agreement under which Sentient will provide its Ultimate access solutions for deployment in Williams`s new integrated voice and data network.
