Backplane system

The E-2000 backplane system is targeted toward data-communications and telecommunications design engineers as well as equipment manufacturers. The scalable architecture provides configurations of two to six channels for deployment of systems with eight to 40 or more channels. The system includes a floating self-alignment method that creates an integrated guiding mechanism for secure backplane connections. The PCB connector can be held in the mating adapter to eliminate forces at the PC board. When mated, the system`s design also compensates for board mechanical tolerances with 2.5 mm of longitudinal "play." It is available in multimode, singlemode, convex polished, and 8 angle- polished versions, as well as a field-mountable version.
