Digital cable tester

The DSP-4000 Digital CableAnalyzer performs tests to 350 MHz in preparation for standards such as Category 6 and offers diagnostic capabilities. The tester features a fiber-optic test adapter for two-way testing of dual multimode links. It measures parameters for near-end crosstalk, power-sum near-end crosstalk, equal level far-end crosstalk, power-sum equal-level far-end crosstalk, return loss, propagation delay, and delay skew. The fiber test adapter measures optical power, loss, length, and propagation delay at 850 and 1300 nm. Pass/fail test results are based on common fiber test standards. Fiber and copper test results are saved in the same database. The cable analyzer is priced at $5995 and the fiber test adapter costs $3995.
