Víctor López (M.Sc. 2005 - Ph.D. 2009) is a Technology Expert at Systems and Network Global Direction in Telefónica gCTIO. He works on the global IP and optical processes of the Telefonica group. Moreover, he is involved in the research projects as well as in the definition of the Telefonica network guidelines for IP/optical segment. Currently, Victor is based at Menlo Park with Telefonica USA to assess technological solutions for IP/optical white boxes for network operators. He started his carrier in Telefónica I+D as a researcher (2004). He moved to Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in 2006, where he obtained the Ph.D. He worked as an Assistant Professor at UAM (2009) working on metro-backbone evolution projects (BONE, MAINS). In 2011, he joined Telefonica I+D as Technology specialist working on funded research project from the Telefonica group and the European Commission. He has co-authored more than 150 publications, 4 patents and contributed to IETF and ONF.
