BTI Systems, a provider of packet optical networking for metropolitan networks, has updated its proNX Service Manager, a service-centric management approach that transforms networks into scalable, agile service delivery platforms to meet the rapid growth in demand for carrier Ethernet services for business and mobile backhaul capacity.
BTI Systems adopted a service-centric approach to network and service management with its proNX Service Manager, designed to minimize network complexity as well as to blend service and capacity provisioning.
Service providers are implementing proNX Service Manager for large-scale deployments, delivering global interconnection services, Ethernet business services, and mobile backhaul Ethernet capacity. With its service templates, product managers can design specific vertical service packages in proNX, while operations staff with simple training are enabled to rollout new innovative services, including EVPLANs, in seconds across the network, says a spokesperson.
"The service-centric management approach bundles information comprehensively to improve service providers control, insight and intelligence to deploy carrier Ethernet across metro access, aggregation and core platforms," explains Jim Crum, vice president of sales for Europe, BTI Systems. "This enables service providers to plan a service and then automatically provision all the network resources across the metro to deliver the service in an instant."
BTI Systems is unveiling how proNX's Web technologies can enable service providers to monitor and provision their networks from the palm of their hand with smart device apps. Visitors to the Business Ethernet Performance & Exchange Europe in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 10 through 12 can experience first-hand a Services-in-Seconds demonstration of rapid Ethernet services deployment at the BTI Systems booth #8.
