PECL OSCILLATOR

Aug. 1, 2000

A new PECL (Positive Emitter Coupled Logic) option in the K1149 oscillator series, the K1 fundamental crystals deliver low phase jitter (<20 ps, peak-to-peak; 5 ps, typical rms value). An imbedded crystal is housed in its own metal package, allowing for optimum aging characteristics and reliability. K1149CQA has been developed initially at OC-3/STM1 and ATM to PDH interface. The oscillator is suited for use in SONET backbone equipment, add/drop multiplexers, WDM and DWDM fiber transmission gear, and other frequency-control applications.
