The ATA7600DI is a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) designed for SONET OC-192 and DWDM fiber networks. Operating at +5-V dc, the InGaP heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) amplifier features low power consumption. The benefits of InGaP HBT processing include high reliability and stability. The ATA7600DI dissipates a maximum of 500 mW and offers low group delay (-20 to +20 ps). With 9-GHz typical bandwidth, the TIA has a 0- to -18.5-dBm dynamic optical range with a 1550-nm PIN photodiode. The ATA7600DI can also be used single-ended, with the customer selecting an inverting or noninverting output.
