U.S. Signal broadens Carrier Ethernet service offering with CENX connection
JUNE 4, 2010 – U.S. Signal, a provider of data bandwidth capacity and Ethernet services in the Midwest, is now offering access to its metro and regional network via a new connection with CENX Inc., operator of Carrier Ethernet exchanges.
The first interconnection is at CENX’s Chicago exchange and provides carriers with seamless access to U.S. Signal’s Virtual Ethernet Services. The partnership with CENX enables faster turn-up time and easier connection for U.S. Signal’s wholesale customers, as well as extends the scope of U.S. Signal’s Ethernet service business.
“Our partnership with CENX provides the most cost-effective way for our wholesale customers to reach Ethernet service locations across our extensive network,” says Dan Olrich, chief operating officer for U.S. Signal. “Connecting with CENX also gives US Signal the ability to create a seamless network for our customers. CENX’s well-known expertise in the field of Carrier Ethernet and full support for our advanced services make it an ideal partner for U.S. Signal in providing the highest-performance Ethernet services for our customers.”
