JUNE 1, 2010 -- Amdocs (NYSE:DOX), a provider of “customer experience” systems, and Huawei say that Amdocs has received Huawei certification for the delivery of a pre-integrated network fulfillment offering for the Huawei U2000 network management system. The activation pack is designed to meet the market demand for end-to-end operation and maintenance of all-IP convergence networks.

The Amdocs and Huawei activation pack is a preconfigured offering for the provisioning of Huawei Ethernet and fiber equipment designed to enable next-generation broadband providers to deploy Amdocs Operational Support Systems (OSS) for Huawei networks faster and with automated network planning, rollout, and delivery. The activation pack combines Amdocs' OSS expertise with Huawei's equipment to provide a proven and certified approach for network operators, the companies say.

The preconfigured pack provides all the necessary interfaces to enable service providers to deliver new services across Huawei's Carrier Ethernet and FTTx (fiber to the x) equipment. The U2000 provides unified activation across Huawei's entire portfolio of IP and Ethernet routers and switches based on MTOSI 2.0 API, a standard-based management interface as defined by the Telemanagement Forum. This approach ensures the simplified integration of network technologies and efficient rollout of new equipment, with decreased delays and reduced operational cost, Amdocs says.
