XKL enables express routes with Digital Express

XKL LLC has introduced Digital Express, a new feature of its FlexArc distributed DWDM architecture that the company says enables express routes to serve as direct, low latency connections across complicated with multiple nodes networks.

FlexArc supports rapid provisioning and enables scalability of fiber-optic network infrastructure as needed, according to XKL. It also provides soft configurable, any-to-any mapping of client and line-side optics, and can accommodate complex topologies, including mesh and ring, and linear and point to point as well.

Added by XKL to its DarkStar optical transport portfolio last year, the company says FlexArc enables customers to manage and grow their networks through an agile interface, and is optimal for metro, regional, long haul, and data center markets (see "XKL supports distributed DWDM capacity with FlexArc").

"Next generation applications not only require minimal latency, but also intelligent routing," said Chad Lamb, XKL chief systems architect. "Hybrid IT strategies involve multiple platforms across diverse locations. Our Digital Express feature ensures that complex disparate systems work together as seamlessly integrated unified environments."

XKL will be attending Capacity North America, which will be held September 6-7 in Denver.
