The ftb-7400 series of otdr modules provides dynamic range to 40 dB (41.5 dB with 20-microsec pulse) and yields dead zones of 3 m. The modules come in a variety of configurations--1310- or 1550-nm modules for long-haul network testing, a 1625-nm module for out-of-band testing, and a 1550/1625-nm module for otdr testing on wdm systems.
