    Handheld fiber-optic test sets

    The mts and fts ranges of modular, handheld fiber-optic test sets are designed for data communications, telecommunications, and cable-TV testing. The mts-100 consists of a power meter with plug-in stable source modules, while the fts-100 has an optional 6-km range full-duplex talk set with speech carrier detect, which can be built into the unit. Both models feature display resolution of 0.1 dB, measurement ranges from +5 to -70 dBm, accuracy to ۪.3 dBm, rechargeable batteries, stored references at each wavelength (retained even when switched off), and recording of minimum and maximum power levels. The units can be calibrated without being opened.
