Aug. 14, 2001--Adelphia is using (3)Link Global Wavelength service from Level 3 to enhance the high-speed Internet service it offers to businesses and residential customers throughout North America.

Level 3 Communications, Inc., (Nasdaq: LVLT) announced it has signed a multi-year agreement with Adelphia Communications (Nasdaq: ADLAC) and Adelphia Business Solutions (Nasdaq: ABIZ), an American cable and telecommunications company.

Adelphia is using (3)Link Global Wavelength service from Level 3 to enhance the high-speed Internet service it offers to businesses and residential customers throughout North America. Specifically, Adelphia has purchased 2.5-gigabit wavelengths from Level 3 along nine intercity routes connecting Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Jose and Seattle.
