Wavelength meter

The 7711 Fizeau wavelength meter measures the wavelength of pulsed or continuous-wave light sources from 400 nm to 1.0 micron with 0.001-nm resolution and 0.01-nm wavelength accuracy. The heart of the meter is the Fizeau interferometer, which consists of a thin, uncoated piece of fused silica. The light propagating through the entrance aperture hits the front face of the interferometer and is partially reflected. The light is then reflected from the back face and propagates collinearly with light from the first reflection. These reflected beams form a sinusoidal interference pattern on a CCD array.
