WDM production expanded

Optical Corporation of America, Garden Grove, CA, plans to expand its production capacity for wavelength division multiplexers (WDMs). According to Chief Executive Donald Johnson, his company has developed passive WDMs that enable a single fiber-optic signal to be split into many channels with very narrow bandwidths, tight channel spacing and minimal signal loss. Johnson also says his company has exclusive license to use a filter-tap technology for optical communications systems.
