The ONS 15900 Wavelength Router has a new optical switching element that allows service providers to remotely monitor the physical characteristics and integrity of optical circuits at the switching junction without breaking the optical signal. Configurations of monitor, split, and loopback can be configured on an OC-48 optical port.
