SPI's FBGs pass Telcordia test

Oct. 1, 2002

Telcordia Technologies has concluded that SPI fibre Bragg gratings qualify for 25-year service life applications in controlled environments.

SPI's FBG family comprises 25, 33, 40 and 50GHz channel spacings for OADM and mux applications. They are athermally packaged to provide absolute wavelength accuracy of ±0.02nm over the –5ºC to 70ºC operating range.

Random samples were measured by SPI at its internal test laboratory and at accredited third-party test laboratories in the UK and Germany.
