Unveiled a year ago next month, the 1.2-Tbps T-Metro 8104 is a modular, CE2.0 compliant, multipurpose service aggregation and cloud gateway platform.

Telco Systems says it has supported recent deployments of its T-Metro 8104 service aggregation platform and cloud gateway for multiple service providers in North America. The company did not divulge the names of its customers, who are using the optical transport platform for inner-ring aggregation topologies, data center interconnect (DCI), mobile backhaul, and high-density 1G/10G service aggregation.

Unveiled a year ago next month, the 1.2-Tbps T-Metro 8104 is a modular, CE2.0 compliant, multipurpose service aggregation and cloud gateway platform. It offers high port density, service scalability, carrier-class resiliency, and support of MPLS, high quality of service, and 100 Gigabit Ethernet OAM, Telco Systems says.

“We only recently released T-Metro 8104 and we are pleased to be already announcing these new service provider customers,” said John Ryan, vice president of sales and general manager for North America at Telco Systems. “The demand we are experiencing and our pipeline of back orders for this latest addition to our carrier Ethernet portfolio is strong.”
