Computer Sciences Corporation leases fiber optic infrastructure from Metromedia Fiber Network

Apr. 10, 2001--Metromedia Fiber Network will lease fiber-optic infrastructure to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) to provide clients with secure, high-speed connectivity to CSC's data centers in select cities across North America and Europe.

Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN) (Nasdaq: MFNX), a provider of optical IP Internet infrastructure within key metropolitan areas domestically and internationally, will lease fiber-optic infrastructure to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) (NYSE: CSC) to provide clients with secure, high-speed connectivity to CSC's data centers in select cities across North America and Europe. CSC provides outsourcing information technology services.

CSC's initial installations will be completed in Houston, Tex., where one of the company's key focuses is on the energy and energy services business. By securing fiber-optic infrastructure from MFN, CSC can deliver services over a private metro-area network, and can offer new and enhanced services such as real-time data recovery and back-up, on-line storage and other bandwidth-intensive applications.
