The Light Brigade, a division of AFL, has partnered with cable MSO training specialist Jones/NCTI to create a two-day, instructor-led Fiber Optics Workshop for graduates of Jones/NCTI Fiber Installation and Activation and Fiber Testing and Maintenance courses. The lab format workshop will offer multiple training stations covering fiber-optic technology, products, and standards. Students who successfully complete the workshop will come away with the skills needed to properly design, install, and maintain fiber-optic networks, the companies assert.

The workshop is designed to expand upon the training students within the cable MSO community receive from Jones/NCTI fiber courses. Students who complete the entire regimen will receive a Jones/NCTI certificate of graduation and The Light Brigade’s certificate of completion.

“I am excited about offering the hands-on fiber training with The Light Brigade. This alliance is a win, win, win! Jones/NCTI students win by receiving industry-leading hands-on training, the MSO wins as their staff gains required and highly sought skills, and Jones/NCTI and The Light Brigade win by expanding our successful relationship,” said Vincent DiBiase, president of Jones/NCTI.
