Microchip says the META-DX2L is the industry’s most compact (23x30 mm), 1.6T, low-power PHY that delivers the capabilities system developers need to solve today’s new challenges posed by cloud data centers, 5G networking, and AI/ML compute scale-out. The META-DX2L PHY – supporting dual 800 GbE, quad 400 GbE, and 16x100/50/25/10/1GbE PHY requirements – doubles the bandwidth of previous solutions on the market while establishing a new level of power efficiency. Its integrated 2:1 hitless mux enables high availability/protection architectures.

Judge’s Comment: “While there is a competing 1.6T PHY on the market, I believe META provides a superior combination of features and low power. Quite important for high-performance system design.”
