Marvell’s Spica Gen2 800G PAM4 Electro-Optics Platform is built on 5-nm process technology with companion transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) and driver to deliver power savings and advance the transition to 800-Gbps networking inside the data center. The Spica Gen2 800G platform offers more than 25% system-level power efficiency savings compared to the previous generation while reducing latency and system implementation complexity. The device enables less than 12-W 800G QSFP-DD800/OSFP optical transceiver modules as well as lower latencies, higher levels of integration, and simplified switch port management for next-gen cloud data center optical interconnects.

Judge’s Comment: “This DSP is a superb product that demonstrates breakthrough performance and/or innovation. The low power, integrated drivers, and total feature set have had a huge market impact, enabling much more rapid adoption of 800G.”
