Transimpedance amplifier

The ata06212 gallium arsenide automatic gain-control transimpedance amplifier suits Sonet OC-12 and sdh stm-4 optical receivers as well as atm, fddi, and Ethernet fiber lan networks at 622 Mbits/sec or less. Optical sensitivity of -34 dBm or better is achieved using a pin diode. Other features include automatic gain control, single 5V power supply, and 0-dBm optical overload. The unit exceeds itu and Bellcore specifications and requires no tuning or matching. It comes as a die or is packaged in a 12-lead small quad flat pack. The amplifier costs $44 each in quantities of 1000.
