Kalman Saffran Associates (Newton, MA) will provide custom development services to adc Broadband Communications, a subsidiary of adc Telecommunications Inc. (Minneapolis, MN). The services will include developing sonet/sdh interfaces for three existing adc video distribution products. These products include a stand-alone unit that accepts adc encoder cards, then transmits the digital output via sonet/sdh connections; another stand-alone unit that receives a sonet/sdh signal, then outputs a user signal through an adc decoder card in the unit; and an interface card for the DV6000 system that enables a single channel to be dropped from the system`s 16 channels and then be transmitted over sonet/sdh networks.
