MARCH 24, 2009 -- ADC (search Lightwave for ADC) will feature its portfolio of OmniReach FTTX products at OFC/NFOEC 2009, held March 24-26 at the San Diego Convention Center in Booth #3439.
OmniReach products are designed to simplify FTTX network installation, maintenance, and management from the central office/headend to the outside plant and to the premises.
Industry professionals also are invited to attend two presentations given by ADC speakers to learn about the latest developments in OSP/fiber technologies.
Ron Kleckowski, market manager, will address the need to accommodate higher fiber density in smaller spaces and the unique challenges of ensuring high-density fiber cable management, as well as the impact of new reduced-bend radius fiber types. Tim Badar, FTTX product manager, will explore critical considerations in determining the most cost-effective architectures for next-generation PON networks, which include peak subscriber bandwidth and upgrade strategies for existing deployments. The presentation "OSP Products: High Density Fiber Management Issues" will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at 1:00 pm and "Upgrade Strategies for GPON2" will begin at 2:00 pm in the OSP/Fiber Technology Showcase, Hall E.
