Two-chip fiber modem
Two-chip fiber modem
The ACS405 is a two-chip set transceiver or fiber-optic modem supporting full-duplex transmission to 8.44 Mbits/sec over a single fiber. The product can be configured as eight 1-Mbit/sec channels, four T1 or E1 channels, or as a single 8.44- or 6.31-Mbit/sec pipe. This company`s Ping-Pong technology allows communications modems to automatically maintain synchronization with each other, so that the receive phase of one modem is lined up with the transmit phase of the other, while compensating for the propagation delay of the link. Link lengths from 0 to 25 km are catered to automatically.
