TUNABLE LASER

Jan. 1, 2001

The Agility 3040 laser tunes to more than 100 ITU channels in fiberoptic networks in less than 10 ms. The InP chip provides 4 mW of optical output, supporting the C-band from 1525 to 1565 nm with 50-GHz spacing. It contains temperature and wavelength control and supports optical standards, including IP over glass, SONET, SDH, and ATM. Standard amplifiers allow its use in long-haul and ultralong-haul applications.
