T3 fiber modem

The TC1680 T3 fiber-optic modem provides a point-to-point data link between two DS-3 devices (up to 100 km). Applications include extending the point of presence from telephone company demarcation points, ATM nodes, or linking T3 multiplexers. Diagnostics include built-in self-test, link-verification test, local and remote loopback, and a dry contact for remote alarm. Power redundancy is standard, optical redundancy is optional. Power consumption is less than 6W and the unit measures 1.7 ¥ 7 ¥ 10 inches. According to the manufacturer, the product features virtually no jitter.
