Optical amplifier

The FluoroAmp 1310 optical amplifier allows dwdm channels in the 1310-nm window to share the same fiber as channels in the 1550-nm window and to be amplified alongside them, doubling the carrying capacity of the existing fiber cable. The amplifier provides a small signal gain of 28 dB and an output of 14 dBm over a 20-nm range centered at 1303 nm with a noise figure of <6.5 dB. The device is packaged in a standard rack mounting and can be integrated into existing and new telecommunications transmission systems.
