Service providers, including multiple service operators (MSOs), know that offering customers converged services is essential to long-term business prosperity. An ideal scenario is to obtain and maintain a competitive advantage over rivals for converged-services business. The battle to obtain this business from customers is matched only by the race to roll out network enhancements, including all-fiber and DOCSIS 4.0 systems that enable delivery of these services on a large scale over the long term.

He joined Corning after a 37-year career at a Canadian telecom company, where he led Canada's first large-scale Fiber to the Home (FTTH) deployment, reaching over 1 million homes. Barry specializes in business case development, operations planning, and cost-effective network deployment. He focuses on innovative, labor-saving FTTH solutions for rural areas. A former board member of the North American FTTH Council and active in the Fiber Broadband Association, Barry is respected for his real-world experience and is recognized on LinkedIn as one of Corning’s #BroadbandGuys.
