Operating at 2G, 4G, and 8G Fibre Channel signaling rates, 4 or 8 GB of recording memory, and either two or four recording channels, SierraFC M8-4 is designed to offer affordable, “world-class” protocol analysis capabilities in either a standalone test unit or cascaded to provide additional recording channel capacity.

"The latest addition to our industry-leading Sierra family of powerful protocol analyzer products targets an emerging opportunity in advanced storage system and networking product developers," said LeCroy President and CEO Tom Reslewic. "Designed from the ground up to address the unique characteristics of Fibre Channel protocol, the SierraFC M8-4 sets a new standard for performance, while incorporating a complete range of features in a fast, highly flexible, and economical system."
