OZ Optics offers multi-channel benchtop polarization-dependent loss emulator

April 14, 2022
The multi-channel benchtop polarization-dependent loss emulator helps technicians to study and quantify fiber network polarization impairments and effects by emulating a known polarization dependent loss (PDL) level.

OZ Optics Ltd. says its multi-channel benchtop polarization-dependent loss emulator helps technicians to study and quantify fiber network polarization impairments and effects by emulating a known polarization dependent loss (PDL) level.

The PDL emulator features high linear dynamic range, flat wavelength response over the C&L bands, low insertion loss, and low residual polarization mode dispersion, OZ asserts. The system is configurable with 1 to 16 independent channels and can be controlled manually via a color LCD touch screen or under computer control via the USB interface.
