Keysight reorganizes into business group trio

Test and measurement technology developer Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) has unveiled a new corporate structure. The company has created a centralized Corporate Planning and Technology team and reorganized its operations into three business groups: the Communications Solutions Group, the Industrial Solutions Group, and the Services Solutions Group.

Test and measurement technology developer Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) has unveiled a new corporate structure. The company has created a centralized Corporate Planning and Technology team and reorganized its operations into three business groups: the Communications Solutions Group, the Industrial Solutions Group, and the Services Solutions Group.

Keysight Senior Vice President and CTO Jay Alexander will head the Corporate Planning and Technology team. He will become responsible for strategic planning and corporate development, Keysight Labs, software architecture and platforms, and central technology development.

The three new business groups each focus on a specific customer area. The Communications Solutions Group will comprise Keysight's products aimed wireless and aerospace and defense. Michael Gasparian, Keysight senior vice president, will lead this group. Gasparian was most recently the company's senior vice president, customer support and services and worldwide marketing. UPDATE: It turns out that the optical and photonic instrumentation products (most recently, "Keysight intros tunable laser sources for optical components test") will be part of this group as well. An earlier version of this story indicated that Keysight was not yet releasing this information.

Gooi Soon Chai, Keysight senior vice president, will oversee the Industrial Solutions Group, which includes the company's automotive, energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor businesses. Gooi was most recently the company's senior vice president, order fulfillment and infrastructure. He retain responsibility for Keysight's order fulfillment, global sourcing, and information technology functions.

John Page will move from his former role as Keysight's vice president, business finance to become senior vice president, Keysight, and president of the Services Solutions Group. Page will assume responsibility for development of a portfolio of Technology Management Services, such as multi-vendor calibration and asset management.

Guy Séné, senior vice president, worldwide sales, will continue to focus on sales growth, including integrating, managing and growing the business from the recent acquisition of Anite, a supplier a of software for wireless research and development.

"As we complete our first year as an independent company, I am proud of our successes and the results that we have delivered, including keeping customer satisfaction very high, completing our stabilization early, and executing a major acquisition," said Ron Nersesian, Keysight's president and CEO, via a press release. "The changes that we're announcing today are the next step in our evolution and are designed to focus directly on our customers and the development of the solutions they need to succeed in their industries."
