Teledyne LeCroy adds 10-Bit HDO9000 to High Definition Oscilloscope line

Teledyne LeCroy has unveiled the HDO9000 High Definition Oscilloscopes. The latest addition to the company's High Definition Oscilloscope (HDO) line uses HD1024 high-definition technology to automatically optimize vertical resolution under each measurement condition to deliver 10 bits of vertical resolution with 4 GHz bandwidth.

Teledyne LeCroy has unveiled the HDO9000 High Definition Oscilloscopes. The latest addition to the company's High Definition Oscilloscope (HDO) line uses HD1024 high-definition technology to automatically optimize vertical resolution under each measurement condition to deliver 10 bits of vertical resolution with 4 GHz bandwidth.

With HD1024, the HDO9000 automatically and dynamically determines the best ADC configuration under each specific measurement condition to provide optimal resolution, according to the company. With the use of optimized filtering, the HDO9000 can extend vertical resolution beyond 10 bits to as much as 13.8 bits, Teledyne LeCroy adds.

The oscilloscope features what Teledyne LeCroy describes as "an exceptionally deep analysis toolbox" that enables technicians to uncover hard-to-find signal abnormalities more easily. The toolbox includes math, measurement, debug, and documentation tools. Users can augment these capabilities with a variety of optional software packages for all validation and debug requirements ranging from automated standards compliance packages to debugging toolkits. A suite of protocol-specific measurement and eye diagram packages also is available.

Application-specific packages enable streamlined debug for common design and validation scenarios. Options include digital filtering, spectrum analysis, device and switching power supply analysis, among others. Customization options enable users to define their own parameters and math functions.

The HDO9000 supports bandwidths of 1 GHz to 4 GHz and sample rates of 40 GS/s. MAUI with OneTouch user interface, combined with a 15.4-inch capacitive touch screen, improves efficiency, intuitiveness, and ease of use.

Available immediately, the HDO9000 can be delivered in 1, 2, 3, or 4 GHz bandwidths with US list prices ranging from $21,250 to $37,400. Mixed signal versions of each model are available with 16 digital channel sampling at 1.25 GS/s for an additional $3,000.
