BERT ANALYZERS

June 1, 2000

The 86130A BitAlyzer-a general-purpose serial 3.6-Gbit/s BERT-and the 81250 ParBERT-a modular, parallel 2.6-Gbit/s BERT-are designed for multiplexer and demultiplexer testing for telecommunications and system-area networks. The 81250 ParBERT provides up to 64 parallel stimulus and 64 error-detection channels at speeds up to 2.66 Gbit/s and can test up to OC-48 (without a golden device) and up to OC-192 when combined with a 71612B error-performance analyzer. The 86130A features ease of use in simulating and analyzing error-correction coding schemes.
