Tempo debuts FIP100 fiber connector inspection system

Oct. 17, 2023
The new platform is designed to make fiber testing more efficient.

Tempo Communications has introduced its FIP100 Fiber Optic Connector Inspection System. The FIP100 is a fully automated inspection tool that provides analysis of fiber optic connector end faces and bulkheads compliant with the IEC61300-3-35 testing standard.

Featuring simple, single push-button functionality to focus automatically, the FIP100 captures an image of the connector end face and provides a pass/fail result within seconds. The pass/fail status of the connector is instantly displayed via a red/green LED on the FIP100 unit.

Technicians can see detailed results on the free iOS or Android mobile app which provides PDF report generation and sharing for accessible communication of results. Both apps are pre-loaded with pass/fail requirements from IEC 61300-3-35, as all major telecommunications service providers require.

“A fiber inspection probe is an essential tool for all fiber technicians,” states Jason Butchko, President of Tempo Communications. “The FIP100 makes easy and accurate testing available to all technicians, helping to increase the efficiency of their fiber optic projects.”
