NCTC partners with Actifai, members gain access to AI-enabled sales solutions

Jan. 17, 2024
NCTC’s members will now be able to utilize Actifai’s eCommerce and call center software.

The National Content and Technology Cooperative (NCTC) announced on Jan. 16 that it will partner with Actifai, a provider of artificial intelligence solutions for the broadband services industry. The partnership will result in NCTC members gaining access to the Actifai platform, which NCTC hopes will increase sales effectiveness and drive more rapid consumer adoption of high-speed broadband services.

NCTC, which represents nearly 700 independent communications service providers across the United States, acts as a programming, broadband solutions, and hardware purchasing organization for its members. Through the new partnership, NCTC reportedly plans to leverage Actifai’s artificial intelligence and machine learning to formulate and recommend optimal service packages personalized to each consumer.

Actifai reports that its AI platform draws information from a continuously growing database, which, as of the partnership announcement, contains nearly 2 million broadband industry customer engagements. Further, proprietary demographics and behavioral insights create a better understanding of prospective customers.

NCTC CEO Lou Borelli said in a press release, "NCTC views AI as a major technology advancement, and this exciting new partnership delivers an artificial intelligence solution that members are asking for, as it supports their long-term business strategies. Harnessing the power of AI to accelerate digital transformation and remain competitive is essential for all our members. Actifai’s sales and support tools are purpose-built for the broadband and cable industry. They will help our membership quickly incorporate AI into their management of the consumer lifecycle in a way that is practical and innovative."

Actifai CEO Ned Brody said in the same press release, "The broadband industry is at an inflection point with increased competition from new entrants and a growing array of connectivity options available to the consumer. Actifai has leveraged artificial intelligence and machine learning in practical ways that enhance both the consumer and employee experience to improve the critical decisions that are made throughout the customer lifecycle, beginning with recommending the ‘right’ products and services and key selling points to each unique consumer at the point of sale. We’re thrilled to partner with NCTC to help members deliver more effective sales and support solutions to their end-users."
