Conterra Ultra Broadband Holdings, Inc. (Conterra Networks) in September announced its continued investment in fiber network growth across Bowie County, Texas.
The company announced an initial investment of $9.5 million and an additional estimated $12.6 million expected over 5 years.
Conterra Networks is expanding and investing in communities in the Ark-La-Tex area. The expansion is part of the company's growing network infrastructure across the United States.
To date, Conterra Networks has 13,250 fiber miles, 2,700 schools served, and over 7,500 on-net locations.
The company said it designs and builds its 100% fiber network to handle symmetrical service and speeds of up to 10 Gbps with 99.99% network reliability.
The company's local team manages the all-fiber network, which is now available to approximately 3,209 Bowie County businesses, and growing.
