Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is expanding the availability of its Stream TV service to current Xfinity Internet-only customers in the company's Chicago metropolitan area market. The service first went live in Boston last week, and Comcast plans to make Stream TV available across its footprint by early 2016.
The streaming video service, which costs $15 a month, includes access to live channels from the major broadcast networks and HBO as well as thousands of on demand choices. It also includes access to TV Everywhere and a cloud DVR.
In other Comcast news, Comcast Business has expanded its network to the Sugar House business district in Salt Lake City, providing a combination of national chains and small boutiques with services including high-speed Internet over fiber and coax, HDTV and phone services. The Sugar House Business District is known for shopping, dining, services, entertainment and recreation.
