Midco has opened its fourth data center in Fargo, ND. The 16,000-square-foot facility (expandable to 28,000 square feet) is flood-averse, and it has an EF3 Rated Shell designed to withstand 150 mph sustained wind speeds. Built to Tier III specifications, the Fargo data center has an additional delivery path for power and cooling for concurrent maintainability site infrastructure.

Other features include:

  • Maintained Security: All entrances are maintained with mantraps and 24/7 security authentication.
  • Data Center Inner Ring: Protected data halls surround critical equipment at the center.
  • Carrier Neutral: A meet-me room provides a direct connection to the Midco Network and other carriers.

The facility will be available for business customers who need a partial rack, single rack or multiple rack rentals. Private, customizable suites or cage space will also be available. Construction of the facility began last August.

Midco's data centers are locally and wholly owned. The company's three other data centers are in Grand Forks, ND, and Sioux Falls and Yankton, SD. The Grand Forks facility opened in January.
