Huawei unveiled a DOCSIS prototype intended to support a downstream rate of 25 Gbps and a series of E2E solutions. The DOCSIS prototype is designed to demonstrate that DOCSIS technology can extend the spectrum to 3 GHz to support UltraHD video and other services.

Huawei also presented a series of video and broadband E2E solutions, including a Hybrid Video solution, DOCSIS 3.1-based 10 Gbps HFC access platform, Giga transport solution, and Giga backhaul solution.

In other Huawei news, the company is working with Telefonica de Peru to build a DOCSIS 3.1 compliant converged ultra broadband (UBB) network. The network will offer both coaxial and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) access and enable 1 Gbps access services. The deployment will include Huawei's distributed converged cable access platform (D-CCAP) solution.
