CableLabs has certified Sagemcom Broadband's cable media gateway F@st 3890 as being in compliance with DOCSIS 3.1 specifications. The gateway, intended to provide multi-gigabit throughput, is designed to simultaneously operate DOCSIS 3.1 and DOCSIS 3.0 32x8. It includes WiFi 4x4 802.11ac wave 2 for 5 GHz, 4x4 802.11n for 2.4 GHz, and uses MU-MIMO wireless technology.
Ahmed Selmani, deputy CEO of Sagemcom, said: "Our customers will be able to deploy multi-gigabit services over their existing hybrid fiber/coax networks to offer ultra-fast Internet, upcoming IoT services and all-IP, multi-room, UHD video."
