Suddenlink Goes Gig Again

Suddenlink is again expanding its gigabit Internet footprint. The company's residential and business customers in Mammoth Lakes, CA; Greenville, MS; and Parkersburg, WV; now have access to up to 1 Gbps Internet service.

The deployment is part of Suddenlink's "Operation GigaSpeed," which was announced last summer and is intended to provide 1 Gbps services to 90% of the MSO's markets by the end of 2017. Current deployments are based on either DOCSIS 3.0 or fiber to the home (FTTH), depending on the market.

Since July, gigabit service has been made available in the following Suddenlink markets:

  • Arkansas: Jonesboro and Russellville
  • Arizona: Flagstaff
  • Louisiana: Bossier City and Lake Charles
  • Missouri: Nixa, Ozark and St. Joseph
  • North Carolina: Greenville and Rocky Mount
  • Oklahoma: Enid and Stillwater
  • Texas: Abilene, Andrews, Big Spring, Bryan, College Station, Georgetown, Huntsville, Kingwood, Lubbock, Lufkin, Midland, Terrell, Tyler and Victoria
