Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) announced an agreement with Korean service provider SK Broadband to deploy Cisco's cBR-8 converged cable access platform (CCAP) across its national footprint. SK, which has 5 million subscribers, plans to use the DOCSIS 3.1 capabilities of the cBR-8 to expand gigabit or multi-gigabit services over its existing HFC access network.
