Mediacom Goes Gig with Hitron Modems

Mediacom Communications is deploying the Hitron Technologies CDA3-35 cable modem, a DOCSIS 3.0 32x8 channel bonding modem designed for provide up to 1 Gbps Internet speeds. Mediacom is using the modem to deliver its high-speed Xtream suite of integrated Internet, TV and phone services.

The service provider announced its intention to offer 1-Gbps broadband services in parts of Missouri last week.
