Clearcable Networks is launching its Canadian Content Distribution Network (CDN) and Authentication Services.

The CDN is intended to offer TV programmers and service providers an alternative means to transmit and receive traditional linear digital content and live over-the-top (OTT) streaming content across the country by employing a distributed network of edge caches to move live content closer to the subscriber network.

The underlying technology, coupled with Clearcable's Authentication Services, is intended to enable locally-branded OTT portals that include live, local community content, select programmer and live streams, and Go product streaming services for authenticated and authorized subscribers.

Clearcable's Authentication Services are designed to provide stand-alone Identity Provider Services for single-sign-on to various Go products with secure integration to service provider subscriber data.
