NAGRA (SIX:KUD.S) has launched an enhancement to its MediaLive Secure Player multiscreen video solution to address the Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface (NPAPI) phase-out of Google Chrome Web browsers on Windows and Mac PCs. The new feature is designed to integrate the browser's new Pepper Plug-in Application Programming Interface (PPAPI) to ensure that pay TV operators can continue to deliver premium video content to a wide variety of browsers and without disruption to consumers who use Google Chrome.

NAGRA's new PPAPI plug-in for Google Chrome browsers is delivered as part of the NAGRA MediaLive Secure Player Suite, which integrates the company's DRM, anyCAST PRM. It is compliant with the new HTML5 Chrome browser security architecture and will be made available by NAGRA's operator customers as a Chrome extension via the online Chrome Web Store.

The company will be showcasing its solutions at TV Connect in London.
