Electroline has announced the availability of its next generation RF port selection switch, Model Series TPS-32. It's intended for return path monitoring or monitoring and service assurance of downstream digital video services under the control of remote management software. The 1RU remotely controlled switch, with a bandwidth of 5-1,002 MHz, is rack mounted and offers multiple configurations such as 32 x 1 and 32 x 2 versions, a diplexed multiplexer with 16 upstream and 16 downstream ports for testing DOCSIS high speed data services, and two separate 16-port switches. With an available command code SDK, and high port isolation and low distortion performance, it's backward compatible with Electroline's Clearpath return path monitoring products. The device can be remotely configured with 20 dB of gain. Remote control is achieved via an Ethernet physical layer and TCP/IP as the network layer and a built-in Web accessible user interface.
