ARRIS Debuts HEVC Encoder

ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS) is introducing the SE-7000 HEVC encoder. The SE-7000 is designed to support live HEVC streaming over the MPEG-2 TS standard. The fourth-generation video compression system, based on the company's SE-6000 encoder, is designed to simulcast both HEVC and AVC streams along with integrated low-resolution picture-in-picture (PIP). It also supports IP and baseband SDI inputs.
